Competition winners for one of Paddington's new Cookery books

Thank you so much for all the wonderful entries which we received for our recent competition to win a copy of Paddington's Cookery Book.

We asked people to come up with their own recipe for a sandwich which had to include marmalade as one of the ingredients.

Paddington had a very good time testing them all and found it quite hard choosing his two favourite ones.

There were quite a lot involving chocolate and other sweet items and then some very unusual savoury ideas including such ingredients as prawns and mushrooms.

In the end Paddington decided to choose one sweet and one savoury recipe and these were the two which he thought tasted the best.
Madonna Russell came up with this winning combination:
  • Marmalade, Smoked Bacon and Brie
and
Michele Sanders won her prize for this recipe:
  • Marmalade and melted plain chocolate mixed together whilst warm. Spread onto triangles of sliced bread. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon. Add the top layer of bread, place in the fridge until the filling is cold and set!

Well done Madonna and Michele - we hope you both enjoy your copies of the cookery book!
