Products in the inaugural Heathrow Travel Product Awards were nominated by retailers and voted for by the travelling public

Airports company BAA has announced the winners of the inaugural Heathrow Travel Product Awards. The awards were split into 12 categories including fragrances, liquor, gadgets and travel accessories. Products were nominated by the airport's retailers and voted for by the public through a specially created website over the last four weeks.

Paddington Bear was proclaimed Britain's Best Souvenir and voters chose the Breitling Aerospace watch as their favourite Travel Treat. The Best Airport Spirit was the Hazelwood Reserve 17yo single malt whisky and the Best Holiday Fragrance for Men and Best Holiday Fragrance for Women products were Dior Homme Sport 100 ml and Prada Infusion D'Iris 100ml respectively. Clarins Sun Protection Partners was the Best Beauty Product for Travel.

All winners can now feature the Heathrow Travel Product Awards' logo on packaging and advertising and will receive their awards later this month. Participating stores including World Duty Free, Harrods, Rolling Luggage, Mappin & Webb, WH Smith, Sony and Dixons will promote the winning products for the remainder of the month.
